Hawaii Reception FAQs
While we tried to anticipate questions you may have, there’s a chance we missed something.

General Information
➡ When and where is the wedding reception?
The Hawaii reception will be at Tiki’s Grill and Bar in Waikiki.
The venue is located at the Twin Fin Hotel at 2570 Kalakaua Ave.
➡ What time should guests arrive?
Tiki’s opens to the public at 11AM, so we don’t suggest arriving earlier than 11AM (unless you want to kill some time in Waikiki).
➡ What will the day’s timings look like?
We have the venue available from 11AM-4PM with no set timeframes.
Food is available as an open buffet, so do not fret if you’re a bit late as food will be available for majority of the party!
We will do cake cutting and bouquet toss at around 1PM though 🙂
➡ What is the dress code? Is there a theme?
Our Hawaii wedding theme is “Seashells and Wedding Bells” so think light blues and whites.
However, you are not required to dress to the theme. Just wear something you’re comfortable in (slippers are okay).
➡ Is there parking?
Tiki’s is in the Twin Fin hotel, which offers limited valet parking for Tiki’s guests. Tiki’s will validate for 3 hours free.
In the event that valet is full, we recommend paid parking at the Zoo, or other free and metered street parking in the surrounding areas.
RSVPs
➡ How do I RSVP?
RSVPs are closed. We will be sending a reminder shortly to finalize guest count.
➡ Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, there is limited space at the venue and we were unable to give everyone a plus one.
If you do have a plus one, it will be noted on your RSVP card.
➡ What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
There is space on the RSVP for you to note any dietary restrictions.
If you have other allergies (such as certain flowers or scents), please make note of those as well so we can try to accommodate.
Please let us know as early as possible, and try to be as specific as possible.
➡ Why are you asking for recipes?
We’re aiming to compile a recipe book with contributions from all the people important to us!
➡ What if I need to change my reservation? Or cancel at the last minute?
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible!
Gifts & Registry
➡ Where are you registered?
We are registered with the Wedding Shop (a UK-based website).
➡ Can I bring a physical gift to the reception?
Unfortunately, due to logistics, we will only have space for envelopes at the reception.
➡ Do you have a preferred way to give a gift?
If you’d like to contribute to us as a couple, we kindly request that you purchase it through the registry or send it directly to our home in Wales. Unfortunately we have limited luggage space to transport things back to the UK… 🙁
Other
➡ Will alcohol be served?
Yes, alcohol will be available for purchase during the event. There will also be unlimited juice if you don’t feel like drinking.
➡ Can I make song requests?
Sure! There won’t be dancing but we’ll have a playlist going 🙂
➡ Can I take photos?
Yes please! We will have a photographer, but we’d love to see shots of the day from your perspective as well!
➡ Is there a wedding hashtag?
No.
